As in the best tradition of design schools, theory and practice are closely linked. The ISIA graduate will have a strong theoretical knowledge of chemistry and physics of materials, and will be familiar with the history of art, design and communication. And he will synthesize in his personal creative maturity the abilities that will allow him to practically face operative problems, design experiences, engineering methods, order simulations. He will then transform his ideas into executive projects, models and prototypes, working inside the Institute where there are active laboratories of shaping and modeling (with metal and woodworking), ceramics laboratories, computer graphics, video-making.
